The Coronavirus outbreak and the subsequent Government advice is affecting all our lives and in turn will affect our event season. One month into the UKs outbreak the Government is estimating the peak of the virus will be around April/May and should have stabilised a couple of months later allowing some normality to return in the summer.
Therefore, sadly we have cancelled the running of the two May events. The Summer Moot and Gathering will run as planned with the Spring Moot being rescheduled from May into the summer holidays on the weekend of Friday 14th to Sunday 16th August. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate rescheduling the GEF as well this season.
All customer bookings will be honoured in the following way; those who purchased the 4 event multi deal will receive three events this year, the Summer Moot, the rescheduled Spring Moot, the Gathering and will receive a credit for the cancelled GEF event. Customers that have booked individual events we will email directly to discuss options.
Customers will be allowed to leave their tents up between the two Moots providing valuables are removed and each Faction Command arranges for a small crew to stay in camp to look after things.
All 4 event Customers that accept the rescheduled Spring Moot and the credit for GEF 2021 do not need to contact the office or do anything further as these will be processed automatically and a special 3 event deal with GEF credit will be available for booking the 2021 events.
If customers cannot attend the rescheduled Spring Moot in August a refund will be given; likewise, if customers do not wish to accept the credit for GEF 2021 a refund will also be given. Refund requests for this must be received by email into enquiries@lorientrust.com between the dates of Monday 6th April and 30th April. When emailing please set your email to send you a delivery receipt for future reference if needed. Refunds will be issued back to the originating bank account.
Customers can still book the All 4 event ticket before the deadline on 31st March and the above credit and rescheduled event will apply. The rescheduled Spring Moot ticket along with the Summer Moot and Gathering tickets will be available as individual event purchases until the last deadline date of 5th July.
This is going to be a tough year for everyone personally, professionally and financially, but I know the Larp spirit will get us through and a personal thanks to everyone from staff to stall holders to caterers and customers.
